He has performed extensively as a guitarist for the World Tours of Sandy Lam 林忆莲 and Emil Chau周华健, which has staged shows in Taiwan, Japan, America, Canada and China.

In 2007, he was the pop music director for the inaugural Singapore Day 新加坡日 held in New York City’s Central Park. This keynote event introduced Singapore culture overseas, and attracted 6000 attendees.

In 2008, he ventured into the film industry collaborating with award winning Singaporean director, Royston Tan 陈子谦 on the hit movie 《881》. As music director, he oversaw the music production for the film, involving the FM production team and FM Pop Music School students. The movie was a huge success, grossing over 3 million in Singapore, and the movie soundtrack released by Funkie Monkies Productions 齐天音乐 set the record for best selling OST in Singapore history. The movie theme song 《一人一半》performed by 伍家辉 became a big hit, propelling his career as FM’s first recording artiste.

Over the years, HYR has been actively trying to inspire, train and bring new blood into the industry. He has conducted seminars in Singapore, Malaysia and China. Sharing the experiences he has gained in the music industry over the years, like how his mentors Jonathan Lee李宗盛, Benjamin Lin Ming Yang 林明阳 and Eric Chen Zi Hong 陈子鸿had advised him when he first started.

In 2010, he worked with Guinness as lead mentor/consultant in the “Rise Together” 欢畅时光movement, a campaign to boost the local music industry thru a series of performance and media coverage. The movement was successful in bringing aspiring musicians together and providing with the training and exposure to take their music to greater heights.

Through teaching at FM Pop Music School齐天音乐学院, he hopes to help musicians take a step closer to their dreams.

Eric Ng first set foot in the music industry in 1996 as a session guitarist and went on to be a highly sought after Songwriter作曲人/Producer制作人/Music Arranger编曲人 who has worked with A List artistes such as A*Mei 张惠妹, Sandy Lam林忆莲, Emil Chau周华健, Jaycee Chan房祖名, Jolin Tsai蔡依林, Show Luo罗志祥.

He founded Funkie Monkies Productions 齐天音乐 in 2000, eventually teaming up with Xiaohan小寒 and Jim Lim林倛玉.

Some of his high profile works include 《纸飞机》，《无底洞》，《双栖动物》and 《人质》.
